MISSION STATEMENT:  We are a professional organization dedicated to supporting our members and providing leadership in school business management.

ASBOA has been serving public education since 1939 through sound fiscal and administrative practice. ASBOA is a Registered Profession under the Professions and Occupations Association Registration Act since 1993. Certified members of the Association are governed by the School Business Officials Regulations 37/2004.

Our Members: Our Association is made up of individual members who work in Public education, K-12, in the Corporate, Financial and Business services areas.

Our Role:   is to enhance the professionalism of school business management, to improve the performance of the public jurisdictions they work for, and to assist administrators and the school jurisdictions to deal effectively with the ever changing environment in which schools operate.

Our Goals: are to improve efficiency in each area of school business management; to ensure wise expenditure of taxpayers’ monies; and to render prompt, friendly service to students in our schools. ASBOA is willing to face and master the school business problems of today and tomorrow. ASBOA works in partnership with Alberta Education as well as other educational partners to provide expert advice on the many issues facing education today.
