December 8, 2017 - ASBOA Professional Learning Day
We are pleased to offer our 3rd module from Fierce Conversations. Today's workshop will focus on the GENERATIONS module.
Leveraging the advantages of a multigenerational workforce begins when leaders focus on similarities, respect differences, and draw on strengths.
Long-term organizational success requires two things: transfer of existing knowledge from one generation to the next and embracing new knowledge entering the organization. The key is to create a culture where employees are equally comfortable teaching and learning from each other.
With business changing at an increasingly rapid pace, the generations have a unique opportunity to create new ways of doing business together by actively seeking out diverse viewpoints and incorporating drive, knowledge, and ideas from every age group.
- create high-potential employees from any generational group
- recognize the dangers of pigeonholing people due to generational stereotypes
- explore what motivates the individual generations
- leverage divers perspectives when moving past a roadblock, vetting an opportunity, or seeking new solutions
