Updated Information

Guest Rooms

The Delta Hotels Kananaskis Lodge has been completely renovated and re-branded / renamed the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge.

This change does not impact any guest room reservations that have been made. The conference rate will continue to be honoured.

The John Palliser Lodge has also been renamed and is now under ownership separate from the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. This change has not impacted reservations made and the conference rate will continue to be honoured.

Delegates who have made reservations at the John Palliser Lodge should have received communication directly from the new owners confirming that their reservations will continue to be honoured.

The block of rooms reserved by CASS has been sold out. It is anticipated that as jurisdiction teams register for the Conference, some rooms may be released.

If you would like to make reservations, or add to your reservation block, please contact Ingrid Piecha ( who has a wait list. CASS has been assured by the hotel that any cancelled reservations will be held for CASS until July 14, and Ingrid will be notifying those on the wait list when openings develop.

Professional Learning Modules

A description of each of the Professional Learning Modules offered at the Conference is available by clicking the ‘Module Description’ tab on the Conference web page. This tab is now available. Delegates are encouraged to review the descriptions prior to registering for the Conference.

Each professional learning module will be restricted to a maximum of 40 participants, therefore CASS and ASBOA members are encouraged to register for the Conference as soon as they are able to.

Depending upon the number of registrants, a decision will be made to possibly offer some of the Modules to two groups of delegates.

Jurisdiction Leadership Teams will have to decide whether they wish to register for one Module as a team or have each Team Member register for different Modules.

One hour of pre-Conference Reading will be required for each Module. During the Conference there will be 11 hours of Facilitated Learning, and the Module participation will conclude during the CASS Fall Pre-Conference scheduled for November 7, 2018, during which time each cohort will meet, with cohort members summarizing how s/he has actionized the learning in her/his respective school authority.

ASBOA Members will be able to include completion of a Professional Learning Modules towards their respective professional learning record.

A registry will be created for CASS members, acknowledging completion of this and future Professional Learning Modules as part of a Continuing Education Framework.
